Bred by Charles Valin at the UK breeding company Thompson & Morgan, ‘Illumination Flame’ resulted from a cross between the common foxglove and isoplexis, a Mediterranean shrub with unusual orange flowers. Digiplexis Illumination ‘Flame’ – This plant seemed to be the talk of the town, and rightfully so in my opinion. It’s a Digitalis hybrid with brilliant flower color – pink/purple edges fading into a yellow/orange center.

10 Apr 2014 My favorite plant this week is Digiplexis 'Illumination Flame,' a hybrid mix of Digitalis purpurea and Isoplexis caneriensis, bred in 2006.

2013-06-18 Illumination® Flame Foxglove is a fine choice for the garden, but it is also a good selection for planting in outdoor pots and containers. With its upright habit of growth, it is best suited for use as a 'thriller' in the 'spiller-thriller-filler' container combination; plant it near the center of the pot, surrounded by smaller plants and those that spill over the edges. Digiplexis ‘Illumination Flame’ and ‘Illumination Raspberry’ If you’re looking for something really special for your garden, you’ve found it in Digiplexis ‘Illumination Flame’ and/or ‘Illumination Raspberry’.
